February in Wisconsin. Sixty degrees 5 days ago, a new foot of snow three days ago. Both seem totally normal lately, if there is a normal during this time of year! Somehow we lucked out and got a perfect winter day for Krista and Mario’s engagement session on Sunday afternoon. With weather that can REALLY go anyway, I was more than thrilled with 30s and sunny!

I do have to say though, we started our time together at Riverview Island and the WIND on the island was intense! Of course, it’s an island, but still, I was worried we were going to freeze or need to cut the session short in order to not freeze. Luckily, once we left the island part of Riverview, the weather felt practically balmy everywhere else we went in comparison!

I had SUCH a blast getting to know Krista and Mario, and they happened to pick the day with this most beautiful glowy light I’ve worked with in winter in a long time! I’m so excited to share some of my favorite images from this awesome engagement session!
