I’ve been DYING to photograph a proposal for SOO long! When Deep contacted me about a month ago, I could barely express my excitement. And when I asked him for more information about his plan for the proposal, the response I got blew me away! He had every step of the day planned.

Deep and I set up a time to meet a couple days before the proposal took place. He walked me through his plan for the morning- they were going to start to day with a bike ride around downtown Eau Claire, passing over the Phoenix Park Bridge toward the end of their ride. He asked if I could be there to capture a few images of them riding over the bridge. he had even timed the bike ride down to the minute so he knew EXACTLY what time they’d be coming! Talk about prepared! We then walked around through Phoenix Park to find the best spot for the proposal itself. We found it! A beautiful little spot between two trees providing perfect shade! Then he explained he was looking for more of a lifestyle session so I could follow them around and document their day. I was SO excited!

I arrived at Phoenix Park the morning of the proposal and realized the farmer’s market had tents set up right next to our perfect spot! Deep had also noticed that when they started their bike ride in the morning and sent me a message. Through texting, we figured out a new, perhaps even more perfect spot! Right next to a tile on the ground labeled “Destination” I LOVED that!

The proposal of course, went amazingly (she said YES, by the way!). Afterwards, Deep and Chella spent some time walking around the farmer’s market. They bought some of my farmer’s market favorites- amazing pastries, homemade pita chips, and of course fresh cheese curds. They spent some more time enjoying their day and then had reservations at The Livery where they had a couple drinks and cheese curds- something they did often while they lived in the city.

While they were hanging out and enjoying their day and each other’s company, the thing that was more clear than anything else was their love. It was obvious how much Deep and Chella love each other by the way he held her hand and by the way her face lit up when he spoke.
