There may not have been snow yet, but Sydney and Kyle’s River Prairie Christmas wedding was absolutely perfect in every way. It was supposed to rain, but instead we ended up with perfectly beautiful sunshine all day.
As with many other 2020 weddings, Covid showed up to mess with Kyle and Sydney’s plans, but they didn’t let it stop their celebration of love. They did need to cut down their guest list, but still found ways to include so many people who were important to them. Even with a shortened guest list, the amount of love and joy that they felt from their friends and family on this day was everything. Sydney’s grandma was able to spend a large portion of the day video chatting in so she could be part of so many moments. It was just perfect for them.
And another part of the day that completely added to how amazing everything was- this location! Sydney and Kyle chose River Prairie Center in Altoona for their ceremony and reception. They could not have made a better choice- especially for a wintery Christmas wedding! There were so many opportunities for beautiful portraits surrounded by Christmas lights, one barely noticed that there wasn’t snow on the ground!
To top it off, I knew these two BEFORE they were even a couple! I got to have them BOTH in my very first class EVER (I am a middle school teacher if you didn’t know!). They have always been such amazing joyful, kind people, but together they both shine! Enjoy a few of my favorite from their wedding day!
