I loooove taking family photos in late summer evenings. Somewhere between what I call the “neon grass” phase and the dried out phase that sometimes happens in August, something magical happens that allows for perfect photos. And these family photos fit that description.

I had such a great time taking photos of this family! We got some of just Mom and Dad together, too which I always love to do! They drove from St. Paul to get their family photos done here in Eau Claire with me and I’m so honored. Damon was such a great kid, he put up with me the entire photo session and even sat through his parents’ portion of the photos without a word of complaint; I was so impressed with him!

We started our photos at Rod and Gun and then when the sun started sinking lower into the sky, we headed over to Phoenix Park to catch the sunset in out photos- and we did! There are some GORGEOUS sunset photos in this bunch and I’m so excited to deliver these family photos to their owners.
