Spring Family Portraits in Eau Claire

Every Spring, when the blossoms bloom (especially in downtown parks like Phoenix Park), I see the perfect opportunity for captures family portraits in Eau Claire and other surrounding Wisconsin areas. When I was having a model call to practice some video and filming, this family volunteered and I couldn’t have been more thrilled about it.

 

Getting to work with other Photographers

This special was extra special because Abby is. another local wedding photographer. She is one of the sweetest humans and I loved getting to meet her family. Every time I get to capture memories for a couple or family, I feel totally overwhelmed with gratitude, but honestly there is something extra wonderful about being trusted by another photographer.

Individual Images during Family Portraits in Eau Claire

When capturing family sessions, I love being able to grab individual images of each child. These are such special images that, as parents, we just don’t always have the time to grab. I also love these because it is. perfect way to let a child’s personality show on camera. Gigi was the sweetest! She was a ball of joy and energy and we let her personality shine while she ran away, picked flowers, and told me I was her favorite (yes, I HAD to include that in this post haha!). She was a complete joy to capture.

Couple’s Photos during Family Portraits

Another thing I love to do during family photo shoots is take a few minutes to get some photos of just the parents. I know that in my house, my husband and I rarely remember to get a photo of just the two of us, so it seems like the images of us alone are few and far between. I think it’s so special to be able to capture the love that a couple shares during family sessions. Plus it gives the kid(s) a break to run around and take the focus off of themselves for a while.
