There are a few things have have been on my photography bucket list and traveling to a gorgeous location, like this tempe engagement photography session has definitely been one of them. When Hanna (Hannah Marie Events– amazing wedding planner) reached out to me on behalf of Bella and Justin, their wedding sounded like a dream, and we all decided this would be a perfect fit! Even better- after chatting with Bella and Justin we decided that I would fly would to them and take their photos near where they live in Arizona.

Tempe Engagement Photography Locations | Papago Park

We used to separate locations for this shoot, and I LOVED them both. The first location was Papago Park. This was my first trip to Arizona, so after much research, I decided on Papago Park as our first location. I loved the desert location while still being super near Tempe. My favorite part of the location is that it definitely gave a desert oasis vibe. There were palm trees, but yet desert and mountains in the background.

Bella and Justin also brought their sweet pup to their session- which is already one of my favorite things for couples to do EVER at their sessions, but this little mister just added so much. He was so precious and it was impossible to not smile around him.

Tempe Engagement Photography Location 2 | Usery Mountain Regional Park

Ok- this location was really my desert photography session dreams come true. I was lucky enough that a local photographer suggested this location to me (this is why the photography community is so amazing to me). I had checked out the spot via Google Maps and on Instagram it was a perfect spot! When we got there shortly before sunset, it felt like a dream and Bella and Justin just made it better! The glowy sun, the desert sand, the cactus, and the beautiful couple. Totally a wedding photographer’s dream! I’m so lucky that Bella and Justin trusted me to fly out to Tempe for their engagement session- it was one of the highlights of my 2023!

After the session ended, Tyler and I spent some time hiking right at sunset and enjoying the beautiful view. We definitely fell in love with the desert and can’t wait to take our boys out there for a hike someday.
