I have been DYING to get this one on the blog for a while here now, but I feel like these two deserve me to be awake when I type this haha! Really though- all these late nights editing are starting to get the best of me.
BUT anyway, this is about Alexa and Tyler’s day and let me tell you, it was AHHHHHH-Mazing! When we pulled in to their stunning venue, Mayowood and started walking around, I am shocked the venue coordinator didn’t come hand us some tape to keep our mouths from hanging open. Like venue itself was just so perfect. The stone barn gave it the feeling of being straight out of the English countryside.
And if the venue alone wasn’t enough of a reason to be obsessed- OMG THESE TWO. I have been counting down to their wedding since their engagement session in the summer of 2020 and this (not at all surprisingly) proved 100% worth the wait. These two were the absolute biggest rock stars at taking prompts and running with them! They trusted me with everything I asked them today and it shows in all of their photos! Sometimes the prompts and cues that I give can honestly feel super silly- but these two went with it and it is just so good!
Plus the love these two share for each other- it could light up a room. But what I love EVEN MORE was just the joy and laughter shared on the wedding day. I loved the surprises and inside jokes built into the day From getting a message from Alexa letting me know that she would be walking down the aisle to a surprise song (you can watch the video here!)Â Turns out it was Star Wars, which was completely for him. If you’re willing to walk down the aisle to a Star Wars song for the person standing waiting at the other end- that is love. Another wedding day surprise was when the entire bridal party put on clown noses right after the first kiss. Everyone laughed, but I had to ask Alexa later what was with the clown noses. Apparently she had found and worn one at her brother’s recent wedding and the joke stuck. I LOVE it!
I could go one about how amazing these two, their wedding party, and their wedding day were, but I think I’d rather show you, so here are a few of my favorites from their wedding day!
