Ashley and Andrew’s Fall Lakeside Wedding was pretty much the most perfect way to end the 2021 wedding season (which everyone in the industry knows has been the busiest season of all of our careers!)

I’m so glad that I got to know these two and be a part of the beginning of their forever together.

One thing I’ve seen a couple times throughout this wedding season is when couples find a way to make their weddings- especially their vows- completely their own. Ashley and Andrew chose to read their own vows they wrote to each other privately during their first look. This let them have every moment and emotion they dreamed of during their vows without the pressure of making them perfect in anyone else’s eyes, but instead only perfect for one another. (Their vows included watching Lord of the Rings, promises for ice cream dates, and a reference to the fact that they are the ones most statistically likely to murder each other- shout out to my true crime fans).

Even though the weather was warm, sunny and NOT November-like (in the best way), they made sure to include so many perfectly beautiful fall traditions in their day. From glory fall leaves and sunset photos, to apple cider and s’mores during cocktail hour.

These two opted to have a smaller than “normal” sized wedding to best keep their friends and family safe during covid, but the amount of love and joy that was present was no smaller of an amount than any large wedding.

Ashley and Andrew- I am SO glad you let me be a part of your day and capture images that you will be able to cherish forever. I will always remember all the joy, laughter, and unseasonably warm temperatures of your day. Here are a few of my favorite images from the day.
