I’m so excited to share Lizzy and Adam’s  Chippewa Falls, Lillydale wedding with you today! When Lizzy and Adam reached out about their wedding photos last year, I just couldn’t wait to work with them! They are literally the SWEETEST humans and Lillydale Dance Hall is honestly one of the most gorgeous wedding venues in the area! Plus, their engagement photos just got me SO excited to keep getting to know them through their wedding planning process!

Lizzy and Adam got married this past July at my FAVORITE local wedding venue in the Eau Claire area- Lillydale Dance Hall! I was thrilled when Lizzy reached out to me and shared that they would be celebrating their wedding at Lillydale and their day definitely did not disappoint, even if the weather tried to bring rain and dreariness their way.

My sweet friend, Jessica was there to second shoot with me and I was so grateful for her help that day!  Especially when we heard a storm begin to roll in…

We went outside for Lizzy and Adam’s first look and their private wedding vows and we could start to hear thunder rolling in the background. Lizzy and Adam stayed SO RELAXED while the sky got darker and darker!

I asked Jessica to go round of the bridal party FAST while I got bride and groom portraits. Thank goodness she was there and able to help, because we ended up getting ALL the bride and groom portraits (including their first look and vows) AND the full bridal party portraits complete in less than 18 minutes!! The wind kept picking up, but it was awesome and Lizzy and Adam ended up with TONS of images! When you scroll through their gallery, you’ll see how much a team of experienced wedding photographers can accomplish if a crunch ends up happening

This wedding had SO many unique moments

I also loved that Lizzy had a first look with not only Adam, but also her mom, her bridesmaids, AND her dad. Sure, these take a few extra minutes to set up, but they are special moments captured forever, in my onion that is worth a few extra minutes.

Another part of the day I LOVED (though it was a stressful few minutes) was during the middle of the wedding ceremony at Lillydale when the thunder started rolling in again. Within 35 seconds, the weather went from just overcast to DOWNPOUR. The officiant wrapped up the ceremony quickly, and honestly, the first kiss and aisle shots with our umbrellas are some of my favorite wedding ceremony images of the year!

To Lizzy and Adam, 

 Thank you so much for allowing me to capture these precious memories for you! You are both sweet, and it was great getting to know you guys better. I can’t wait to see you continue to grow together!
