I absolutely love fall weddings, especially in Wisconsin, and the same can definitely be said for this Lake Wissota WI wedding. The weather was beautiful, the sun was shining, and we got to enjoy the perfect fall colors popping by the lake.
I will never not love a good first look and this wedding was no exception. We held the first look just outside the front reception hall at Kamp Kenwood, the venue for this wedding.
I love when couples opt to have a first look, not just for the opportunity that is provides for gorgeous portraits (though that is always a huge win!). But also because the HUGE difference I notice EVERY single time in how relaxed the wedding couple always is after they see one another for the first time on their wedding day.
When Alex first saw Marissa in her stunning lace dress, I loved seeing the complete joy on his face, And for good reason! Marissa was perfectly stunning her her gown- I loved its high slit and the way it moved when she twirled!
One thing that you can’t go wrong with is an outdoor wedding, especially in the fall surrounded by all the leaves and color changing. I love that these two opted for an outdoor wedding and to top it off they were able to get married with the calm lake so picturesque in the background. The ceremony site felt so separate and calm that it really provided such an intimate experience for both guests and the wedding couple.
Marissa and Alex had a wonderful meal catered by the people they care most about in the world. I love when families are able to tie in things that are important to them into their wedding day! Their family and friends made sure to enjoy a terrific meal and were able to celebrate- both inside and out- through the night!
I loved being able to be there for this Lake Wissota WI wedding! Marissa and Alex, thank you so much for trusting me with capturing these lifelong memories for the two of you!
